When to plant what?

If you’re a seasoned gardener, you already know that not all plants can be safely planted at the same time – some like it cool and some like it hot!

The grid below lists the plants I’m selling and generally the best times for each to be planted in your garden sorted by the earliest possible plant/date combos to the latest. You already know well that our Minnesota spring weather varies from year to year! The dates are based on average temperatures and are general recommendations for when it’s safe to plant outside.

 

If you do plant the more tender plants and frost is in the forecast, you should plan to have to cover those plants.
